We’re proud to announce the next chapter in our academy journey.
Starting in 2026, York United FC will officially operate both a U21 and a U19 team as part of our fully funded development system. This marks a major milestone in our commitment to building a stronger pathway for young Canadian players.
Too often, talented players feel they need to leave Canada, whether to overseas leagues or educational programs abroad, in order to chase their professional aspirations. At York United FC, we believe the path to the top should start right here at home. That’s why we’re continuing to invest in a club-run, high-performance model that allows local players to develop, grow and ultimately thrive without leaving their community behind.
We remain fully committed to helping grow the game in Canada, and this is only the beginning. More announcements are coming as we continue building something truly special for the future of Canadian soccer.
