And this is what people really need to understand: Inter Toronto did exactly the opposite of what TFC bothered to do.
Yes, TFC created an academy, but it never went deep into the ethnic communities of this city. It never expanded to all neighborhoods, cultures and ages as Inter Toronto has done
. He never built that community base. Inter Toronto did it in their own way but they did it.
These new owners not only talked about development, they acted.
They built academies for all ages, boys and girls, and made sure that every child had a real path.
That’s not something you can pretend.
That’s commitment.
That’s vision.
And we have to recognize their merit.
So when people come here and criticize these owners, it’s completely unfair.
They have not abandoned the children; they have invested more, they have gone further and they have supported the communities in a way that this city has been waiting for.
Although you only see that they indulge more in their nationality, that is, Mexico
For that reason, the media also do not respect them
Because they only give credit to their Mexican communication media
And not to other Hispanic countries.
That help more in team promotion
That’s super important
To bring more fans for the team.
But if we look at that the owners of the team are helping children from 8 to 10 years old, many of these young people will wear the national shirt, because they were discovered, supported and received a real opportunity to grow right here, in Greater Toronto in Canada.
That’s the kind of legacy this project is building.
And that’s why I now support the brand change. At first I was against it, but now I’m totally in favor.
And I hope it’s the best for the team
