CNE Donate More The 25.000 Ibs of Surplus Food to Second Havest

The CNE is teaming up with Second Harvest to donate more than 25,000 lbs of surplus food to communities across the GTHA.
Leftover produce, canned goods, and prepared foods from the fair’s 18-day run will be loaded into a Second Harvest truck
Tuesday and distributed to families in need. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., over 30 food vendors, staff, and volunteers will gather at the Food Building to contribute. This marks the second annual “food rescue” effort, part of the CNE’s broader sustainability push, which has already diverted more than 25 metric tonnes of waste from landfills this year.
