Forge FC Assistant Coach Kyt Selaidopoulos to depart for opportunity with FC Supra du Québec
HAMILTON, Ont. – September 28, 2026 – Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) today announced that Assistant Technical Director and Director of Youth Football Kyt Selaidopoulos has departed the club after nearly six seasons to pursue a new opportunity as Head Coach and Sporting Director of FC Supra du Québec.
Selaidopoulos joined Forge ahead of the 2021 CPL season and, alongside Head Coach and Sporting Director Bobby Smyrniotis and the rest of the club’s technical staff, helped establish Forge as one of Canada’s most consistently successful clubs, capturing back-to-back CPL Championships in 2022 and 2023 and consecutive CPL Shields as regular-season winners in 2024 and 2025, while making multiple deep runs in the Canadian Championship and regularly earning berths in Concacaf competition.
“From the beginning, this club and this league have been about creating opportunities and developing Canadian talent, not only on the field but off it as well,” said Bobby Smyrniotis, Head Coach and Sporting Director, Forge FC.
“Kyt has been an important part of what we have built at Forge, and it has been a pleasure to see his growth as a coach over the past six seasons. We’re very pleased to see him earn this opportunity to take the next step in his career and lead a club of his own.
