Always check your flight status before heading to the airport. ✈️
Due to air traffic controller shortages, over 100 flights were cancelled at Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday. This affected both arrivals and departures, as well as resulting in almost 200 delays. Although traffic has since returned relatively to normal, travellers are still advised to check their flight status.
NAV Canada has been struggling with a shortage of air traffic controllers for months now. They say that they are working to “recruit, train, and licence new controllers at an accelerated pace.”
