A 20-month-old child was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car struck a stroller in Montreal’s Ville Saint-Laurent on Thursday evening.
According to Montreal police, the collision happened around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Montpellier Boulevard and Muir Street.

The toddler was in a stroller being pushed by the child’s mother and aunt as they were crossing the street when the vehicle allegedly struck the stroller.
The child suffered serious upper-body injuries but was conscious and breathing when transported to hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured but was treated at the scene for shock.
Police have secured the area and are interviewing witnesses as they continue to investigate exactly how the collision occurred.
